Just Wanted to Show Some Ads (feat. AdSense Rejection)

All I wanted was to show a few ads.
I didn’t expect it to become such an emotional experience.

Round100 is my little playground.
Three small web games, three semi-serious blog posts,
plus Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and a Data Deletion guide.
Everything in place. Clean. Ready.

So I confidently applied for Google AdSense.
I thought, “This should be fine, right?”

Seven days later, Google responded with:

Low value content
(Translation: “Yeah, not worth it.”)

Okay. Bit harsh.
I can already picture the reviewer sipping coffee, frowning at my homepage,
and saying, “Nice effort, kid.”

😇 Time for Reflection

To be fair, they might have a point:

  • Cute games, but not a lot of text
  • Wholesome blog, but not much depth
  • Fun vibes, but not enough “stay and explore” material

Still… just saying—
Even if it looks a little scrappy, making a game takes a lot of work.
Sometimes it’s actually harder than writing a thousand words.
Seriously, try debugging JavaScript for three hours and then tell me it’s “low value.” 😭

🛠️ So, What’s Next?

  • Add more stories and behind-the-scenes to the games
  • Write more blog posts (at least enough to survive a cup of noodles)
  • Share my tools, process, and weird half-finished sketches
  • And most importantly:
Keep sharing my failures too. With a smile.

Round100 doesn’t have ads yet,
but I’m still doodling, coding,
uploading ads.txt,
and watching the sun rise from my desk.

Ads can wait.
Round100 continues. 😎
